Sycamore is pleased to announce that Ms. Judy Lindquist will be coming to serve as our Interim Music Director for the First Service until we have filled this position on a long-term basis. Judy is currently the principle music leader for Gary’s United Methodist Church, and comes highly recommended. So that she can continue to serve at Gary’s, Judy will generally need to leave promptly at or before the end of our first service. Judy will keep with our current rehersals on Tuesday nights, and Please welcome Judy and add her to your prayers for our ministries.
We are recruiting for the First Service Music Director position, and anticipate filling this in January. Letters of application including resumes’ and references should be sent to Rev. Bert Cloud, 9710 Old Stage Road, Prince George, VA 23875 or by email to pastorbert@sycamoreumc.com. A current draft of the position description is available here. We are also working on worship leadership for the second service, and should also have an announcement about this soon. Our 7 pm Christmas Eve Worship will be Quinton's last service as our music director, but Debra and he will continue to be our friends and companions on the journey with Christ. Please take this opportunity to bless them, pray for them, and wish them a fond farewell.
